Same sex parents

We believe it is important for any child to be raised in a stable and loving home.

Many same-sex parents already raise children in just such an environment, paying attention to the need of children to have appropriate and necessary role models as they grow up.

It is important that the law reflected this need for equality and choice.

The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill includes provisions to legally recognise same-sex couples as parents of children conceived during their relationship.

We welcome and support this proposed change. We believe same-sex parents should not be denied equality before the law.
